The AA Ladder rules are made to ensure that all players play fairly and that both teams have an equal opportunity to excel in AA Ladder. AA Ladder is for the community and thus we respect your input. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns about the rules please contact AA Ladder Support.

Team Management

Each team consists of one founder and can have multiple members, warfare managers, and administrators. In order to join a ladder, the team must have enough players to play without being a man down.

In the event that a team cannot find enough members to play in an event, they may play with one or more men down. The chart is as follows:

2v2 = 2 Members Required
3v3 = 2 Members Required
4v4 = 3 Members Required
6v6 = 4 Members Required

If a match is started with all the members not there, a member can join at the end of any round. After which, a setup round will be held once again.

If a player is not on the teams roster before the acceptance date he or she is not eligible to play in that match. It is up to the opposing teams or match observer to ensure that this does not occur. Any problems relating to this must be brought up before the match begins or all players are considered eligible. If a substitute player joins the server at any time during the match, another setup round must be held to verify the players information. If this player is found to be ineligible, it must be dealt with before the next live round begins.

If a player is dropped during game play he is counted as dead for that round and may rejoin after the round ends. If he rejoins before the end of the round, the team he is playing for forfeits that round. A setup round will be held after the dropped player returns to the game.

Please be aware that only team Warfare Managers, Team Administrators, and Team Founders are allowed to make accept, decline, or challenge other teams. These members are the only ones authorized to change any match data and only decisions made by a Warfare Manager or above are considered valid.

All players are required to have their AA Name and GUID set in place at least one hour before the scheduled match time.

Match

All players are required to record a full demo of their match. Failure to record a demo can result in a loss for the team that did not comply with this rule. To record a demo, please type "demorec aaladder" into your console without the quotation marks.

All Match Observer requests must be placed at least 48 hours in advance. If a request is put in after the 48 hour deadline, the chances of getting a match observer are greatly reduced.

All teams are required to allow AA Operations Administrators administrative access to their servers if it is needed. Failure to do so can result in disciplinary actions. These situations include but are not limited to observer requests, disputes and to run anti-cheat scripts.

Each match consists of (12) playable rounds and at least (2) setup rounds.

A "Setup Round" must take place before the match, and at "Halftime" or when (6) rounds are played and players switch sides. During a Setup Round the following rules apply:

1. Teams Must decide whether the next round will be -
* A: A Setup Round - The system repeats itself.
* B: A Dead Round - Firing is allowed but no killing may occur.
* C: A Live Round - The Round is played and is counted
2. If during a setup round one team fires upon the other team and this results in a death, the affected team (the team fire upon) will be credited with a round win. Immediately after the offense, another setup round will take place.
* If the attacked team runs, jumps or cause themselves to die, in a case it would not happen otherwise, player shall be given the next eligible penalty under the "Sportsmanship Rules". This rule is at the discretion of Match Observers and or Ladder Administrators.

If a clan has a significantly higher ping then the opposing team, another server may be necessary or the clan match can be rescheduled.

The challenging team must be able to provide a server for the match and otherwise risks a forfeit if they cannot.

Any server related issues must be brought up before the match is started, otherwise, all disputes related to this issue will be discarded.

Matches that are played in regular ladders (2v2, 2v2 SF, 4v4, 4v4 SF, 6v6, 6v6 SF) are run on the Eastern Time Zone.
Matches that are played in European Ladders are run on the GMT Time Zone.
Matches that are played in Oceanic Ladders are run on the Sydney Time Zone.

In the event that an administrator, who is not an AA Operations Staff Member, joins the server during a live round the round is considered dead and a win for the round is rewarded to the team that is not providing the server. Before the next round begins the opposing team must make sure that the administrator is not currently in the server by running pb_plist and checking the names. If this is not done, no disputes related to this matter will be heard.

1v1 Ladders are played with combat rules. This means that neither side is allowed to get any objectives and the only possible way to win a round is to killing all remaining enemies. In the event that neither player is killed during the course of the round, it will be replayed until a clear winner is shown. The first player to 7 wins willl be named the winner of the match.

During the first setup round it is highly recommended that you check and compare player names and or GUIDs before starting the match. Once the match is started, all players are considered eligible for that match.

After 6 rounds have been played, both teams will reconnect and switch sides. After which, their will be at least one setup round and another six rounds played. In the event of a tie, the defending team chooses between MOUT McKenna, Urban Assault, or SF Sandstorm to play one sudden death round and the assaulting team chooses which side they would prefer. On Mout Mckenna, SF Sandstorm, and Urban Assault if all objectives are not completed within the given time limit, the round will be replayed until a winner is clearly shown.

All matches must be played on updated America's Army Servers with the latest patch and PunkBuster files running. CVAR, MD5, and various other anti-cheat checks provided by organizations such as ACI, AASA, or AON may be run before the match begins. If both teams do not have anti-cheat checks that they can provide, an AA Ladder Match Observer can be requested to run the Official AA Ladder Anti-Cheat Checks. If a administrator is needed in a timely matter, please use AA Ladder's Live Support system or join the AA Ladder Teamspeak Server. Please be aware, no ban lists should be won.

If a round ends by opposing teams both being eliminated, the round is replayed until a clear winner is shown. This rule affects both combat and objective ladders.

In the even that a dispute must be filed, please do so within 48 hours of the match. When submitting a dispute, please include as much detail and evidence as possible to ensure the right decision is made. After a dispute is filed, the disputing clan must post in match comments that they have submitted a dispute, failure to do so will result in the dispute being ignored. A Ladder Administrator will then review the dispute and choose the appropriate action. Arguing with the decisions of an administrator will result in disciplinary actions.

A dispute will be handled in the following way:

1. Information and evidence is submitted by the disputing team.
2. The disputing team informs the opposing team of their dispute through the use match comments.
3. The Regional Ladder Studio Manager gets the opinion of any match observers present.
4. If the opposing team decides to file a counter dispute the appeals process will begin.
5. A finial decision is made and carried out by the Regional Studio Manager.

Appeals Process:

1. Notify the ladders Regional Studio Manager and submit any evidence or information that you think may help your case.
2. The Ladder's Studio Manager will decide on a ruling and inform both clans of it. If both clans cannot agree to the action decided on by the Regional Studio Manager, the Senior Studio Manager, [email protected] , may be contacted.
3. If the Senior Studio Manager cannot come up with a finial ruling on the issue, he or she may bring it to the Director of Operations.
4. The Director of Operations will read over all evidence and prior rulings and make an informed decision on the issue. He may at any time request that a team and or individual player meet with him or her for a private discussion. The Director of Operations decision is finial and cannot be appealed.

Cheating and Abuse

The use of cheats and exploits in AA Ladder events is strictly forbidden. If a player is found to be cheating, he or she is immediately banned from AA Ladder and repeated offenses from the same team will result in further disciplinary action. Unless a match observer is present, if you wish to report a cheater please send an unedited PunkBuster screen shot that displays the cheat to [email protected] . The cheats and exploits that are banned include but are not limited to:

* The use of map exploits or game exploits in general (including grenade bug, M203 glitch, and others)
* Aimbots
* Recoil Hacks
* Sound Hacks
* Using commands and/or hacks to turn off fog
* Accessing server admin console during a live round
* The use of modified game files

Team Cheating Policy, One person found cheating in a team counts as an offense. It is at the administrators discretion as to what action should be taken.

1. Team suspended for one month, the team founder is suspended for two months, and all pending matches are forfeited.
2. The team and all of its members are permanently banned from all AA Ladder events.

AA Ladder reserves the right to enforce a zero tolerance policy towards cheating. If any player on a team is found to be cheating, an AA Ladder Administrator can at his or her discretion decide on the appropriate action. We strongly encourage players to join teams that do not participate in cheating as they can be held liable for their teams actions.

Sportsmanship

All players are required to play with respect and show great sportsmanship. If at any time a player is deemed to be disrespectful please report it to the Director of Operations or to your Regional Studio Manager. Unless special circumstances apply, poor sportsmanship will not result in the forfeiting of any match but can result in the following actions.
